Objectives:

1. Organize a general MHD conference in the year 2004 in Riga, Latvia;
2. Discuss the latest research results in the field of MHD;
3. Define the state-of-the-art and set forth perspective directions of the research;
4. Establish new scientific links between research groups;
5. Discuss joint research projects and decide on new project proposals;
6. Decide on the time and place for organization of the next general MHD conference;
